Take control of your future with the Medical Billing and Insurance Coding program at Summit College! 

Healthcare isn’t just about what happens in exam rooms. So much of the medical industry relies on the behind-the-scenes work done by medical administrative professionals and records specialists, like medical billers and insurance coders. According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, this in-demand profession is expected to grow 7% through 2030 — faster than the average for all occupations — and have around 14,900 job openings project each year.*


When you attend the Medical Billing and Insurance Coding program at Summit College, you’ll get hands-on training in the fundamentals of medical insurance claims, patient billing and payments, and proper coding of medical procedures and services. You’ll round everything out with a 160-hour externship that will allow you to practice your skills in a real-world healthcare setting. The MBIC program is offered as a hybrid program, offering the flexibility of online and on-campus classes.
